In the app Karaoke One we use TrueDepth API through ARFaceTrackingConfiguration(ARKit) in order to enable, on compatible devices, our AR mask feature. When an user selects a mask we use information returned by ARKit to properly present the mask during the recorded karaoke session. We don’t collect in any way raw data about the face of the user, we just let ARKit to anchor the 3D mask on the face of the user, if the user itself selected a 3D mask.
The TrueDepth APIs (ARKit) on the “Sing” feature of Karaoke One are available only for the users that uses an iPhone that support ARKit on the frontal camera (iPhone X, XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 12 Mini, iPad Pro). On these devices you will find 3D masks available for the Karaoke feature (Sonbook tab -> Tap on a song).
We do not store, collect or use in different modes these data and face data.
The feature is available only for end users that would like to use the 3D masks during camera registration as mentioned before.
As stipulated by current legislation, the user can independently request the deletion of their data using the specific function in the Settings of the Karaoke One mobile applications and related services.
