• • Election Retention Policy

    Elections created but not launched within 180 days.
    Any election created, but not launched within 180 days of creation will be deleted in full. All associated data will be removed. This is a non recoverable action.
    
    Elections created and launched.
    Elections are retained for a period of 90 Days after the close of a launched election.
    
    
    21 days before the removal date, the election administrator is sent an email reminding them of the cleanup and offering the opportunity to extend for an additional 90 days.
    
    Should the election administrator take this option, the cleanup date has 90 days added.
    
    The election administrator can only do this once, and cannot extend again until they get another 21 day warning.
    
    By extending the retention date, The election administrator is giving explicit agreement of the retention of any election data for this extension period.
