Like most websites we do collect some non-personally identifying
information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make
available, such as browser type, language preference and date and time of
each visit.
This is collected to better understand how our website is used. We also
collect potentially personal information such as internet protocol(IP)
addresses. We also save the filled out form that we ask you to print and
mail. We do this in case of any issues with the print copy and have access
to only through our website manager, it is not open to anyone else unless
the board of the non-profit requests it.
The saved form is on a secure server and it should not have any
information that would lead to anyone's finances or assets to be
compromised.
If the server were to be hacked, upon our notification we would contact
all users within 7 days by email or USPS mail.
By using this website and applying for a scholarship you have accepted
these term, if you feel in any way we did not act appropriately you do
have the right to go to mediation, we will meet with a mediator and split
the cost to hear your case and will abide by the results of the mediator.
We use this instead of costly legal action that would deprive others of
the chance of a scholarship.
