We use the chatbot service ChatSimple, provided by ChatSimple Inc. (USA), on our website. This chatbot supports us in responding to enquiries and interacting with users who visit our website.
Purpose of Data Processing
The chatbot is used to enable simplified and automated communication with visitors to our website. Depending on how it is used, personal data such as name, email address or the contents of the chat may be processed, particularly if such information is provided voluntarily in the course of an enquiry.
Legal Basis under Swiss Data Protection Law (revDSG)
The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in efficient and modern communication, as well as in improving our customer service (Art. 31 para. 1 revDSG). If the enquiry is aimed at entering into a contract, the processing is also based on Art. 31 para. 2 lit. a revDSG.
Disclosure Abroad
ChatSimple processes data on servers located outside Switzerland, in particular in the United States. It cannot be ruled out that U.S. authorities may gain access to the data. The provider commits to complying with appropriate data protection standards in accordance with Art. 16 revDSG, including the use of the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
ChatSimple may engage third party companies and individuals to provide the Service on its behalf, to provide Service-related services or to assist the Services in analyzing usage.

Google user data is obtained with Google Workspace. For Google Workspace APIs, Google user data is not used to train generalized ML/AI models.

Storage Duration
The transmitted data is stored only for as long as necessary to process the communication or to comply with legal retention requirements. Chat histories are deleted at regular intervals, unless further processing is required.
Note on Usage
The use of the chatbot is voluntary. If you prefer not to communicate electronically, alternative contact methods (e.g. email or telephone) are available. The chatbot does not use cookies unless you have explicitly given your consent.

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you have the right to access, rectify or delete your personal data. Please contact the address provided in our data protection notice to exercise these rights.
