Anthropic Claude API

Forge uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate the personalised Commander decks requested by the User. The choices made by the User in the wizard (game format, archetype, preferences, optional free-text theme) are sent to Anthropic as prompts, processed by the Claude models and returned as text output (decklist and strategy guide).

When employed, Claude also processes the questions addressed to the conversational assistants (Archivista, Collection Custode, Tessitrice), deck analyses and the translations of combos and rulings. Only game data is sent to the artificial-intelligence systems: Users are asked not to include personal data in their conversations.

Anthropic acts as a Data Processor on behalf of the Owner, does not use the User's data to train its models and retains it only for the time needed to provide the service. Data is transferred to the United States on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Personal Data collected: usage data, contents of the requests made by the User.

Place of processing: United States — Privacy Policy.

Voyage AI

The data sent to Voyage AI are technical texts relating to the game and do not include data identifying the User. Voyage AI acts as a Data Processor on behalf of the Owner. The data are transferred to the United States on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses.

Personal Data collected: no directly identifying personal data; aggregated usage data.

It is recommended to log out from the respective services in order to make sure that the processed data on this Application isn’t being connected back to the User’s profile.

The bot receives the user identifier, the Discord identifier, the public display name and the shared content; only with a separate, revocable consent does it also receive the location voluntarily declared by the User (region, province, city). No sharing happens without explicit acceptance of the sharing terms.

Transparency on the use of artificial intelligence (EU Reg. 2024/1689)

Company: this Application

Some Forge features (deck generation and analysis, strategy guides, rules and collection chats, theme definition, translations of combos and rulings) rely on artificial-intelligence systems. The relevant surfaces are clearly marked in the app and on the website, the notice is shown before use, and generated content is labelled as such. Only game data (card lists, build constraints, game questions) is sent to the artificial-intelligence systems: Users are asked not to enter personal data. Camera-based card recognition runs entirely on the User's device and no image is ever uploaded to our servers. Generated content may contain inaccuracies and does not constitute professional advice.

this Application

Forge smartphone app (iOS)

Company: this Application

This privacy policy also applies to the Forge app for iOS, which offers the same features as the website and relies on the same backend. In addition: Camera and scanner - the camera is used solely to recognise trading cards; recognition (Apple Vision and CoreML) happens entirely on the device, no image is ever transmitted to or stored on our servers, and the app does not access the photo library. Artificial intelligence features - before their first use the app shows a consent panel; the choice can be changed at any time from the Profile section and, if declined, those features stay disabled. Billing details - the in-app billing panel collects the same data listed in the electronic invoicing clause. The app contains no in-app purchases, uses no advertising identifiers and performs no tracking.

this Application

Importing lists from external platforms

Company: this Application

At the User's explicit request, our servers fetch deck lists or tournament data from URLs supplied by the User (Moxfield, Archidekt, TappedOut, Deckstats, EDHREC, Commander Spellbook, TopDeck.gg). The request originates from our servers and no User account data is transmitted to those platforms.

Spam and bots protection

This type of service analyzes the traffic of this Application, potentially containing Users' Personal Data, with the purpose of filtering it from unwanted parts of traffic, messages and content that are recognized as spam or protecting it from malicious bots activities.

this Application

Account security checks

Company: this Application

Personal Data processed: Trackers

To prevent abuse and unauthorised access, the website computes a technical device identifier (a hash of browser characteristics such as user agent, screen, language and time zone) and keeps security logs containing IP address and user agent, with limited retention. These data are used exclusively for security purposes and are never used for advertising or profiling.

Further information about the processing of Personal Data

Direct messaging and exchanges between users

Data processed: the content of messages in 1-to-1 chats; metadata (sender, recipient, date and time); data of exchange/transfer proposals (cards involved, quantity, status and outcome); any indicative price; any further data that the user freely chooses to share in the messages (e.g. contact details, shipping address).

Purposes: to allow direct communication between users; to manage and carry out exchanges/transfers by updating the respective collections in the application; to ensure the security and traceability of transactions; to prevent abuse.

Legal basis: performance of a service requested by the user (Art. 6.1.b GDPR); for the further data shared freely, the user's consent (Art. 6.1.a); for the transaction record, the record-keeping obligation under Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code and the legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f) for security and evidentiary purposes.

Retention: messages in conversations with no open exchange are deleted automatically after 90 days; in conversations with an exchange still open they remain until the exchange is completed or lapses. Exchange proposals that are not approved lapse after 48 hours. The transaction record is kept for 7 years. When an account is closed, the references to the user in the audit logs are anonymised: the row remains for the integrity of the record, with no link to the user. At any time the user may block another user and report a conversation from the chat.

Data Processor: the data are stored and processed through Supabase (database and realtime), which acts as data processor on the basis of a specific agreement (DPA).

Security: communications encrypted in transit (TLS) and data encrypted at rest.

Forge does not process the payment and shipping data relating to exchanges: if users share them in the messages, they remain in the conversation and follow the retention periods set out above.

Publication of artists' data (The Museum)

For users who join the exhibition section, Commander Forge publishes the stage name, the biography and any links to the channels indicated by the artist, together with the works uploaded. The legal basis is consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), given separately for each work and withdrawable at any time by removing the work from the artist's personal area; withdrawal takes immediate effect on the public part of the site.

The pages of published works are intended to be indexed by search engines: this is the very purpose of the exhibition, and it is disclosed to the artist before consent is collected.

The artist's email address is never published. Contact takes place exclusively through internal messaging, and only if the artist has expressly enabled it.

When consent is collected, the following are recorded: the full text accepted, its version, the language, the date and time, a non-reversible derived value of the IP address and the browser identifier, for the sole purpose of being able to demonstrate that consent was obtained. These records are kept for the duration of the publication of the work and for the two years thereafter, on the basis of the legitimate interest in the establishment or defence of legal claims.

The uploaded works and their public copies are stored on Supabase Storage, which acts as data processor on the basis of a specific agreement (DPA). When a work is withdrawn or the account is closed, the public copies are deleted.
