Facebook permissions asked by smartfire pty ltd

Device permissions for Personal Data access

Depending on the User's specific device, smartfire pty ltd may request certain permissions that allow it to access the User's device Data as described below.

    Smartfire products are cloud enabled in that they communicate the device status to a cloud server for processing, storage and then access by the customer. This data may be stored permanently. Smartfire may process this data for:
    - Statistical reasons such as to understand user behaviour, group trends and to detect anomalies or patterns of behaviour. This helps improve the product and assist our customers to be better cooks
    - Operational reasons to tidy up the data, maintain systems, migrate between versions or platform providers
    - Analysing which platform and equipment customers are using and whether there are other Smartfire applications, features or products that would be better suited
    - Product development research and regression analysis
    - Aggregation of non-personal data for public statistics, ie how many cooks were performed on Smartfire products in the USA last week, how many briskets were cooked last year using Smartfire

  • Smartfire User Profile

    The Smartfire App requires login to identify the user and provide them with their associated devices that have been previously paired. Social media user data (per the privacy sub-sections for Google & Facebook) is requested and stored on a minimal basic info basis, such as name / email / profile photo / identifier. The Smartfire App offers the ability for customers to customise their experience, such as Celsius or Fahrenheit as the scale of choice. This account information and customisation options are saved as part of the user profile within Smartfire databases.
    Smartfire offers customers the ability to contact support with the email address of their account login and request that the user profile is deleted and it'll be deleted from the live database.
