Any use of Cookies – or of other tracking tools — by Nami or by the owners of third-party services used by Nami serves the purpose of providing the Service required by the User, in addition to any other purposes described in the present document and in the Cookie Policy.
Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data obtained, published or shared through Nami.
The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of Nami (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time.
The Data is processed at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.

Unless specified otherwise in this document, Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for and may be retained for longer due to applicable legal obligation or based on the Users’ consent.

This type of service allows Nami to access Data from your account on a third-party service and perform actions with it.
These services are not activated automatically, but require explicit authorization by the User.
Description
When a user connects Google Calendar, Nami accesses and synchronizes only the Google Calendar information necessary to display upcoming meetings and provide calendar-based meeting features requested by the user. Depending on the permissions granted, this may include calendar and event identifiers, event titles, descriptions, dates and times, time zones, recurrence information, attendees, locations, event status and supported meeting links.
Nami uses this information to display eligible meetings in the App, allow users to choose which meetings should be recorded, schedule automatic meeting participation when that feature is enabled, and support the creation of AI-powered meeting notes for selected meetings.
Nami does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, profiling or unrelated purposes, and does not sell Google user data.
Users may disconnect Google Calendar at any time through Nami’s account settings or through their Google Account permissions. After disconnection, Nami stops obtaining new Google Calendar data. Existing records may be retained for a limited period where necessary for security, legal compliance, troubleshooting, or completion of previously requested operations.
Nami’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Description
Nami’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Nami uses Google Calendar data only to provide user-facing calendar features, including displaying upcoming meetings in the App, allowing users to choose which meetings Nami should automatically join to record and generate AI-powered meeting notes.
Nami does not sell Google user data. Nami does not use Google user data for advertising or profiling. Nami does not transfer Google user data to third parties except where necessary to provide requested functionality, such as scheduling meeting recording through authorized subprocessors, to comply with applicable law, or as otherwise permitted by the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Purpose

Unless otherwise specified, Nami processes any payments by credit card, bank transfer or other means via external payment service providers. In general and unless where otherwise stated, Users are requested to provide their payment details and personal information directly to such payment service providers. Nami isn't involved in the collection and processing of such information: instead, it will only receive a notification by the relevant payment service provider as to whether payment has been successfully completed.
Description
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Nami does not collect or store payment card information.
Apple may process purchase, subscription and billing information to manage payments, renewals and refunds. Nami receives subscription status, entitlement information and purchase validation data from Apple solely to determine the user’s access to paid features, Pro subscriptions, Nami Coins and other purchased functionality.
Nami uses this information only to enable purchased features, verify subscription status, restore purchases across the user’s devices where supported, and prevent fraudulent transactions.

This type of service has the purpose of hosting Data and files that enable Nami to run and be distributed or to provide a ready-made infrastructure to run specific features or parts of Nami.
Some services among those listed below, if any, may work through geographically distributed servers, making it difficult to determine the actual location where the Personal Data are stored.
Heroku is a hosting service provided by Salesforce, Inc.
The OpenAI API provided by OpenAI, L.L.C. is a service that helps the Owner to automate tasks through its AI engine.
This proprietary service manages core app operations, including optional account authentication, accountless identity handling, optional note sync across devices, storage of user preferences, note storage and retrieval, and the technical processing required for app features to function. The app may be used without creating an account, and notes may remain stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to sign in and enable sync. If a user signs in with Apple or Google and enables sync, the backend may process account information such as name and email address, preferences such as haptics settings, synced note data and related metadata, and service-related technical data needed to support app functionality, security, and reliability.

Description
Nami uses artificial intelligence services to process recordings and note content in order to provide transcriptions, summaries, key points, action items, translations, note regeneration and contextual chat with notes.
When a user uses Chat with Notes, Nami processes the user’s question together with relevant excerpts from the selected note, such as its title, summary, key points, action items and transcript. Nami may create numerical representations of the note content, known as embeddings, solely to identify the portions of the selected note that are most relevant to the user’s question and improve retrieval accuracy.
Only the relevant excerpts from the selected note and the user’s question are transmitted to the AI provider to generate a response. The AI provider does not receive access to all of the user’s notes merely because the feature is used, and processing is limited to the selected note and the information required to answer the request.
Nami stores chat messages and related technical information so that conversations can be displayed, synchronized across the user’s devices, service limits can be enforced and the service can be maintained. Users may delete a note’s chat history from within the App. Deleting the underlying note also removes the associated chat history from Nami’s systems, subject to any legally required retention obligations. Chat messages and related records are retained only for as long as necessary to provide the Chat with Notes feature, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the security and integrity of the service.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed by the user before being relied upon.
Nami uses this information solely to provide the AI-powered features requested by the user and does not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Description
When a user manually requests meeting recording or enables automatic joining for an eligible Google Calendar event, Nami uses Recall.ai to create and operate a meeting bot that joins the supported meeting on the user’s behalf.
To provide this feature, Nami may send Recall.ai the meeting URL, scheduled meeting time, an internal user or note identifier, the requested bot configuration, and related technical metadata required to start and manage the recording session.
During the meeting, Recall.ai may process participant information made available by the meeting platform (such as display names), usernames, audio, video or shared screen content, meeting metadata, timestamps, chat messages (where supported), recordings and transcripts, depending on the meeting platform and the configured recording options.
The resulting recording, transcript and related metadata are made available to Nami so that the App can generate structured notes, summaries, action items, searchable meeting content, chat with notes functionality, and other requested AI-powered features.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the legal right to record meetings and for providing any notices or obtaining any consents required by applicable law.
Nami uses this information solely to provide the meeting recording, transcription, AI-powered note generation, meeting summaries, and related features requested by the user. The data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Description
Nami uses the OpenAI API to provide certain artificial intelligence features, including audio transcription where applicable, note analysis, summaries, key points, action items, translations, note regeneration, semantic embeddings and contextual answers in Chat with Notes.
Depending on the feature requested by the user, Nami may transmit to OpenAI audio or transcribed speech, note titles and note content, summaries, key points, action items, user questions, chat messages, relevant excerpts from a selected note, and related technical or internal identifiers necessary to process the request.
When a user uses Chat with Notes, only the user’s question and the information required to answer it are transmitted. This may include relevant excerpts from the selected note and numerical representations of note content, known as embeddings, used to identify relevant information. OpenAI does not receive access to all of the user’s notes merely because this feature is used.
Nami uses the OpenAI API rather than the consumer ChatGPT service for this processing. OpenAI states that data submitted through its business and API services is not used to train its models by default. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs, including abuse-monitoring logs, for up to 30 days unless a different retention configuration applies or longer retention is required by law or necessary to protect its services or third parties.
Nami stores generated outputs and related records in its own systems only where necessary to display the requested features, synchronize data across devices, maintain chat history, enforce service limits, prevent abuse and operate the service.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed by the user before being relied upon.
Nami uses information transmitted to OpenAI solely to provide the AI-powered functionality requested by the user. Such information is not used by Nami for advertising and is not sold to third parties.

This type of service makes it possible to manage a database of email contacts, phone contacts or any other contact information to communicate with the User.
These services may also collect data concerning the date and time when the message was viewed by the User, as well as when the User interacted with it, such as by clicking on links included in the message.
Postmark is an email address management and message sending service provided by Wildbit LLC.
These services have the purpose of hosting and running key components of Nami, therefore allowing the provision of Nami from within a unified platform. Such platforms provide a wide range of tools to the Owner – e.g. analytics, user registration, commenting, database management, e-commerce, payment processing – that imply the collection and handling of Personal Data.
Some of these services work through geographically distributed servers, making it difficult to determine the actual location where the Personal Data are stored.
Nami is distributed on Apple's App Store, a platform for the distribution of mobile apps, provided by Apple Inc.
App Store Connect enables the Owner to manage Nami on Apple's App Store. Depending on the configuration, App Store Connect provides the Owner with analytics data on user engagement and app discovery, marketing campaigns, sales, in-app purchases, and payments to measure the performance of Nami. App Store Connect only collects such data from Users who have agreed to share them with the Owner. Users may find more information on how to opt out via their device settings here.
By registering or authenticating, Users allow Nami to identify them and give them access to dedicated services.
Depending on what is described below, third parties may provide registration and authentication services. In this case, Nami will be able to access some Data, stored by these third-party services, for registration or identification purposes.
Some of the services listed below may also collect Personal Data for targeting and profiling purposes; to find out more, please refer to the description of each service.
Sign in with Apple is a registration and authentication service provided by Apple Inc. In cases where Users are required to provide their email address, Sign in with Apple may generate a private relay address on behalf of Users that automatically forwards messages to their verified personal email account - therefore shielding their actual email address from the Owner.
Google OAuth is a registration and authentication service provided by Google Ireland Limited and is connected to the Google network.
In addition to any opt-out feature provided by any of the services listed in this document, Users may learn more on how to generally opt out of interest-based advertising within the dedicated section of the Cookie Policy.
The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:
Unless specified otherwise in this document, Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for and may be retained for longer due to applicable legal obligation or based on the Users’ consent.
Therefore:
The Owner may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever the User has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. Furthermore, the Owner may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required to fulfil a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.
Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data portability cannot be enforced after expiration of the retention period.

Users are also entitled to learn about the legal basis for Data transfers abroad including to any international organization governed by public international law or set up by two or more countries, such as the UN, and about the security measures taken by the Owner to safeguard their Data.
Where Personal Data is processed for a public interest, in the exercise of an official authority vested in the Owner or for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner, Users may object to such processing by providing a ground related to their particular situation to justify the objection.
Users must know that, however, should their Personal Data be processed for direct marketing purposes, they can object to that processing at any time, free of charge and without providing any justification. Where the User objects to processing for direct marketing purposes, the Personal Data will no longer be processed for such purposes. To learn whether the Owner is processing Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, Users may refer to the relevant sections of this document.
Any requests to exercise User rights can be directed to the Owner through the contact details provided in this document. Such requests are free of charge and will be answered by the Owner as early as possible and always within one month, providing Users with the information required by law. Any rectification or erasure of Personal Data or restriction of processing will be communicated by the Owner to each recipient, if any, to whom the Personal Data has been disclosed unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. At the Users’ request, the Owner will inform them about those recipients.
The User's Personal Data may be used for legal purposes by the Owner in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of Nami or the related Services.
The User declares to be aware that the Owner may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.
In addition to the information contained in this privacy policy, Nami may provide the User with additional and contextual information concerning particular Services or the collection and processing of Personal Data upon request.
For operation and maintenance purposes, Nami and any third-party services may collect files that record interaction with Nami (System logs) or use other Personal Data (such as the IP Address) for this purpose.

The Owner reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its Users on this page and possibly within Nami and/or - as far as technically and legally feasible - sending a notice to Users via any contact information available to the Owner. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.
Should the changes affect processing activities performed on the basis of the User’s consent, the Owner shall collect new consent from the User, where required.
Any information that directly, indirectly, or in connection with other information — including a personal identification number — allows for the identification or identifiability of a natural person.
Information collected automatically through Nami (or third-party services employed in Nami), which can include: the IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilized by the Users who use Nami, the URI addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier), the time of the request, the method utilized to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server's answer (successful outcome, error, etc.), the country of origin, the features of the browser and the operating system utilized by the User, the various time details per visit (e.g., the time spent on each page within the Application) and the details about the path followed within the Application with special reference to the sequence of pages visited, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or the User's IT environment.
