Consent Database: keep proof of every consent in one place
Record who agreed to what, when, and which notice they saw. Then keep that status in sync across your forms, CRM, and email tools.

The iubenda group’s solutions run on 2.5 million websites
Businesses around the world use iubenda to manage privacy, consent, and compliance.
Proof of consent is a requirement, not a nice-to-have
When you rely on consent, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires you to be able to show that each person agreed (Article 7(1)). That’s hard when consent lives in form plugins, spreadsheets, and three different marketing tools.
Records live everywhere
Sign-ups sit in one tool, unsubscribes in another, and nobody has the full picture.
Opt-outs don’t travel
Someone unsubscribes in your email tool but still shows as subscribed in your CRM.
Audits take days
When a customer or regulator asks for proof, you end up stitching together exports.
Everything you need to document consent
Each record holds the details you need to show when, how, and under which notice someone agreed.
How to set up the Consent Database
Turn it on, connect the forms you already use, and every new consent is recorded from then on.

Turn it on in a few clicks from the Consent Database section of your iubenda dashboard.

Review and sync
See every record in your dashboard and keep consent status current across your other tools.
See a consent change travel through your tools
A customer signs up for your newsletter and agrees to personalized offers. The Consent Database records both choices, along with the notice they saw, and sends them to HubSpot.
Six months later, they unsubscribe in Mailchimp. The Consent Database picks up the change, logs it, and passes it on to HubSpot. Your records stay accurate, and nobody touches a spreadsheet.
When someone asks for proof, you open one record instead of five exports.

Built for the ways you collect consent
Online, offline, or across your marketing tools, every consent lands in the same record.
Email the customers you already have with soft opt-in
Many of your customers never ticked a newsletter box, so they never hear from you. EU rules can let you email them about similar products without a separate opt-in, as long as specific conditions are met. Our team sets up the Consent Database to apply those conditions and keep proof for every contact. Turn past buyers into repeat buyers, with the records to back it up.
Consent Database FAQ
Quick answers on how the Consent Database works, what it connects to, and what it costs.
How is the Consent Database different from my cookie banner?
They record different things. Your cookie banner records consent to cookies and trackers. The Consent Database records consent collected through your forms, sign-ups, newsletters, and offline channels.
Where do I find proof of cookie consent?
Your cookie banner keeps its own record. The Privacy Controls and Cookie Solution stores proof of cookie consent in its Cookie and Consent Preference Log, so you don’t need to set up anything extra. Explore the cookie banner
Does storing consent make it valid?
No. The Consent Database documents consent, so you can show when, how, and under which notice someone agreed. The consent itself still needs to be collected correctly, with a clear notice and a real choice.
Which tools can I connect?
You can sync consent status with CRM and email platforms like HubSpot and Mailchimp using webhooks, through Zapier, Make, or n8n. You can also send records from any form with our JavaScript library or REST API, or use the WordPress plugin.
Do I need a developer?
Not always. The WordPress plugin and Zapier let you start without code. For custom forms, a developer can connect them with the JavaScript library or REST API.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on how many consent records you store. See the current rates on our pricing page.
